The Story Behind Round Smarter
As a PM&R physician rounding on hundreds of long-term care patients each month, I saw how fragmented medical and therapy data had become within facilities. But given the vulnerable population we serve, piecing together hundredstherapy notes, consultant reports, labs, and medication changes was necessary — just to understand what was happening with my patients.
In the high-volume, understaffed reality of nursing homes, that complexity created opportunities for medical errors.
I built Round Smarter to quickly analyze a patient’s chart so I could see exactly what needed to be done to move the needle for them. I traded dozens of hours of documentation for dozens of hours of meaningful human connection with my patients and staff
